Towards a Promising Tomorrow
It had been a fulfilling month of July—this 2017, and we want to thank everyone who rendered support and kindness towards allowing us the opportunities to receive both the ‘Friend of The Arts‘ and the ‘4th Enabling Employers‘ awards.
The awards will serve as a reminder for us to keep our sail steering towards fostering a more inclusive society—where our Arts and Cultural scene defines our shared heritage, and for our business to remain as a platform of opportunities in empowering our members of public with the necessary skills required to contribute meaningfully towards our Nation building.
To ensure that this year’s Singapore Food Festival (SFF) events will have elements of inclusivity; where nobody is left out in the celebration of our local food culture festive, we initiated a series of collaborative cooking workshops over two weekends —’U-Heart Masak Masak’.
We would like to acknowledge our supporting partners from the Village Hotel Katong, Katong Kitchen, East Manhattan, Song-Cho, NTUC (Think Tank), the People’s Association, the Singapore Kindness Movement, and SgEatWithUs for supporting the community outreach initiative over the first two weekends of July.
We also appreciate all our participating chefs and volunteers for offering time over to serve our beneficiaries who participated at the ‘U-Heart Masak Masak’ event.
The Heritage Town Festival is a beginning of an epicurean tapestry, which seeks to spread a greater appreciation and awareness for our shared heritage in the Nanyang. At Kim Choo’s we are dedicated to ensure that the brilliance of such pleasures will remain uniquely Singaporean for many generations to come. We do hope to invite you back again next year for another series of activities within the heart of Katong and Joo Chiat!
