"The first Peranakan festival was first organized by The Peranakan Association (The PA) in 2005.The objective of this festival is to further the aims of the association in promoting and preserving the Peranakan culture, through more accessible public events. Four years on, we are embarking on a mammoth scale showcase of Peranakan culture and heritage." -Peranakan Association

As part of the organising committee for the event, we would like to thank the Peranakan Association and Singaporeans for allowing us to further enhance the general public's awareness on the importance to nurture and to allow the Peranakan culture to evolve in our urban environment; here in Singapore.

It was a great success and we hope that through our continuous efforts to introduce the culture, more Singaporeans would come to appreciate the culture and enjoy the great cuisines and lifestyle apparels that the Peranakan culture has to offer.
